The health and well-being of their residents is an important issue for all councils as community leaders. This is delivered directly through partnership with local NHS bodies and the provision of social care services, but every area of council responsibility has an impact on people's health and well-being and the reduction of health inequalities.
The work of the Community Well-being Board, and the policy team which supports that work, spans all these aspects of the 'well-being agenda', with the overall aim of supporting councils to improve the well-being and quality of life of all their population, including the most vulnerable.
